This is Your Space.

Moving somewhere new can feel scary, exciting, or just really weird. That’s completely okay. This page will help you find out more about Young Care Hub; who we are, what we do, and what life here is really like.

What Your Home is Like

Your room is yours

You can put up posters, keep your things how you like them, and make it feel like your own space. The rest of the house is shared — the kitchen, the living room, the garden. We cook together, eat together, and spend time together. But you'll also have plenty of time to yourself when you need it.

Life here is real

We try to make life here as normal as possible. There'll be days out, trips, movie nights, takeaways, and lazy Sundays. Because that's what home is supposed to feel like.

What to Expect — A Typical Day

We like to keep things predictable; not boring, just consistent. Knowing what’s happening next helps a lot of people feel safe.

Morning
Someone will be there to help you get up and get ready. Breakfast is always available, you get to choose what you have.
School
We'll make sure you get to school or college. If you're not currently in education, we'll work with you to find something that works.
After School
Snacks are waiting. You can chill, watch TV, go out, or just chat — whatever you need.
Activities
We'll support you to try things you enjoy. Sports, clubs, hobbies, creative stuff. What's your thing?
Dinner
We eat together. Sometimes staff cook, sometimes we cook together. It's a big deal here, in the best way.
Evening
Your evening. TV, games, your room, chatting — you can decide. Staff are always around if you want company.
Bedtime
Everyone has a bedtime routine. Night staff are always here, and you're never on your own overnight.

A Few Important Things

Every home has some rules, and ours are pretty simple. They’re not about being strict, they’re about making sure everyone feels safe and respected.

1

Respect each other

Staff, other young people, and yourself.

2

Ask for help

When you need it, that's what we're here for.

3

Look after your home

It's your space too. Treat it like it.

4

Have fun!

Seriously, this is important to us.

You're Never on Your Own

If something is wrong, if you’re worried, or if you just need someone to listen — there is always someone you can talk to. Day or night. Your key worker is your main point of contact, but honestly, any member of staff is there for you. You don’t have to wait for the ‘right time’ or the ‘right person’. Just talk to whoever you feel comfortable with.

Things We Get Up To

Life here isn’t just about school and bedtime. There’s loads of stuff to do!

Creative

Art, music, drawing, crafting. Whatever you're into, we'll find a way to support it.

Sport & Fitness

Football, swimming, gym, walking. Getting active is good for the mind, not just the body.

Cooking

Learning to cook is a life skill. And it tastes better when you made it yourself.

Days Out

Trips, cinema, bowling, parks. We make sure there's lots to look forward to.

Learning

If you're interested in something — a subject, hobby, or skill — we'll help you explore it.

Just Chilling

Sometimes you just want to relax. That's completely okay too.
